Our Attorneys
Active in a number of community organizations and professional associations in Hernando and Pasco Counties, Sean is a past president of the Hernando County Bar Association, member of the Florida Bar and the Nature Coast Estate Planning Council. In addition, Sean is member of the Board of Directors of the Pasco Hernando Community College Foundation and is the past Chairman of the Community Foundation of Hernando County. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, Inc. He is a frequent lecturer on the topic of estate planning and related matters for numerous groups and organizations in the area.
Sean was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001 and is also licensed to practice in the United State District Court, Middle District of Florida.
Sean resides in Spring Hill, Florida with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, Mr. Hengesbach is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys sport fishing in the beautiful waters of the Gulf.

Seton is a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama with a degree in Chemistry. While at Spring Hill, Seton was a member of the Men’s Swim Team and actively involved in extracurricular activities. After graduating from Spring Hill, Seton earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While at Nova Seton was a member of the Dean’s List for academic performance.
He began his career as a staff attorney for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company handling civil trial matters. His representative experience there included serious bodily injury suits, wrongful death suits, insurance disputes, and fraudulent claims.
Seton currently counsels clients in a broad range of areas that include real estate, probate litigation and related matters.
Seton is actively involved within the community and is a member of the board of directors for the Nature Coast ARC, Hernando County YMCA, and Notre Dame Catholic School. He is also a graduate of Leadership Hernando Class of 2011.
Seton and his wife, Grace, currently reside in Homosassa, Florida. In his spare time, Seton enjoys cycling, running and triathlons.

Jason was born in Illinois and raised in Hernando County. Jason practices in the areas of civil litigation, real property, probate, guardianships, and Medicaid planning.
Jason is a graduate of Florida State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management. Following his time in Tallahassee, Jason attended The John Marshall Law School (n/k/a University of Illinois Chicago School of Law) in Chicago, Illinois.
After being admitted to practice law in Florida in 2010, Jason began his career at one of Florida’s largest creditor’s rights law firms based out of Tampa, Florida. Here, he handled cases involving real property litigation, mortgage banking, title related issues, residential and commercial foreclosures, bankruptcy, evictions, and civil trial work on contested matters. Jason then worked with the Guardian ad Litem Program in Pasco County advocating for abused and neglected children in the state foster care system.
Prior to joining Hengesbach & Hengesbach, Jason operated his own law firm where he focused on cases involving Guardianships, Family Law, and Dependency law.
Jason has always made it a point to give back to the community. He has provided pro bono legal services for numerous organizations such as Hillsborough County Bar Association, Guardian ad Litem Program, and the Community Law Program.
In addition to his volunteer work, Jason also sits on the Board of Directors for The Arc Nature Coast. He is also a volunteer Judge for the Pasco County Teen Court Juvenile Diversion Program.
Jason resides in Palm Harbor, Florida with his wife and three children. Outside of his professional life, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and playing and watching sports.

Following his undergraduate studies, Coleman earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law.
Prior to joining Hengesbach and Hengesbach, Coleman spent years litigating thousands of cases across the State of Florida, both as Plaintiff and Defense Counsel, focusing on insurance litigation, general liability litigation, fraudulent insurance claims, and breach of contract disputes. Coleman has worked as an in-house trial attorney for one of the largest insurance companies in the United States, as well as a Nationally recognized defense firm that boasted over 500 trial attorneys nationwide.
At Hengesbach and Hengesbach, Coleman is a trial attorney focusing his practice on estate litigation, wills and trusts contests, business litigation, real estate litigation, wrongful death and insurance litigation.
Coleman has made a reputation of being an aggressive advocate for his clients, with a unique sense of attention to detail. Coleman leaves “no rock left unturned” and embraces his competitive nature that he learned at a young age.
When not practicing law, Coleman spends his spare time with his wife and two sons. Coleman enjoys virtually any sport and is an avid golfer.

One of only a handful of double board certified attorneys in the state of Florida in Wills, Trusts and Estates and Elder Law, Attorney Gay is also nationally recognized as a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is among the nation’s elite in the elder law field having been nominated and selected by his experienced peers to be a part of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorney’s Council of Advanced Practitioners. To receive this designation he must continuously hold the highest AV rating under the Martindale-Hubbel Peer Review Ratings, the highest rating for ethical standards and professional ability of an attorney.
Attorney Gay dedicates much of his time to serving his community as a public speaker on issues facing Florida seniors and long-term care providers today in addition to his practice that spans the counties in Florida’s Nature Coast from Pinellas County to Levy County, Florida.
Attorney Gay currently serves as a Director of CARES that provides assistance to senior citizens. He also serves as a Director of Living Water Transformation, Inc., which provides schools and education to children in the South Sudan.
Attorney Gay is a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Civil Mediator focusing on elder law issues. He was the author of the St. Petersburg Times’ Legally Speaking column for over twelve years and was the host of the popular legal television show Senior Law Series.
